Our History
Salter Insurance was founded by Betty Salter in 1985 in the small town of Ashford, located in the lower southeast corner of Alabama. From the very beginning, the agency was built on a simple belief: the customer always comes first.
What began as a personal lines agency has grown steadily over the decades. While personal insurance remains a core part of what we do, we’ve expanded our commercial offerings — with a strong focus on trucking and transportation insurance.
